About us
Who are we?
Hana Weignerová specializes in IT law, intellectual property law and trademarks.
She has professional experience not only from legal practice, but also from the Supreme Administrative Court, where she served as a judicial assistant, and from Junák – Czech Scouting, where she helped prepare methodological publications for scout leaders.
How do we work?
We don't cut corners. We devote as much energy and time to every assignment as it requires. The result is honest, well-done work. We also work mostly online, so cooperation is efficient and we save your time.
We know you're not lawyers, and we don't expect you to be. We explain everything so that you can make an informed decision. We talk things through in plain language. Our clients aren't afraid to pick up the phone and call us.
You always know in advance how much you'll pay. In most cases we agree on a specific price for the service provided. Where that isn't possible, the hourly rate is CZK 3,500 excluding VAT, and we always attach a detailed breakdown to the invoice. For long-term cooperation, we can agree on a more favourable monthly flat fee.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the Preegal law firm based and how can I contact you?
The Preegal law firm operates in Brno and Prague. We have clients throughout the Czech Republic and abroad. You can contact us via the contact form on our website or directly through the firm's partners – Hana Krajčíková and Pavla Nečasová. We'll be happy to discuss protecting your business or your investments with you.
Do you also provide legal services in Prague?
Yes, we provide legal services to clients in Prague and Brno as well as throughout the Czech Republic. In Prague, you can find us at Uruguayská 11, 120 00 Praha 2 – Vinohrady. Thanks to the option of online consultations, we are available to you whether you are based in Prague, Brno or anywhere else.
What areas of law does Preegal specialise in?
We specialise primarily in intellectual property law, IT law, the law of artificial intelligence (AI), GDPR and photography law, complemented by real estate and employment law. Thanks to this combination, we can provide both Prague and Brno clients with tailored advice – from brand protection through licensing to AI compliance. Our attorneys publish and lecture in these areas and also have experience from the highest courts.
How much do legal services at the Preegal law firm cost?
We set our prices transparently, and you always know in advance how much you will pay. In most cases we agree on a specific price for a given service; if that is not possible, the hourly rate is CZK 3,500 excluding VAT, with a detailed breakdown. For long-term cooperation, whether you are from Prague or Brno, we offer a more favourable monthly flat fee.
Do you work online, or is an in-person meeting at the office required?
We are a modern digital office. We work mostly online, which speeds up cooperation and saves your time - something especially appreciated by clients in places further from Prague and Brno. We can handle everything from consultations to the preparation of contracts remotely. If you prefer to meet in person, we will be happy to arrange a meeting with you.
Is the initial consultation free or paid?
It depends on what you expect from the meeting. If we address a specific legal question and provide you with legal advice, that is professional work, and it is not free. But if you first want to get to know us without any commitment and find out whether we "click" on a personal level for future cooperation, we will gladly invite you for a coffee – free of charge. We believe that good cooperation begins with mutual trust and with understanding one another.
Are you VAT payers?
Yes, we are VAT payers. The prices stated are therefore increased by value added tax at the statutory rate.
