EU Regulation 2025/40 on Packaging and Packaging Waste
From 12 August 2026, the regulation on packaging and packaging waste (PPWR) applies across the EU. Its obligations affect manufacturers, importers, distributors and companies that use packaging. Many requirements will phase in gradually up to 2040, so it is advisable to start with an audit of packaging and the supply chain.
