AI Glossary
C
A modernized convention on the protection of individuals with regard to the automated processing of personal data, following on from the original Convention No. 108 of 1981. It responds to profiling and algorithmic processing and introduces, among other things, the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing.
N
A supplementary part of the NIST framework devoted to the specific risks and measures associated with generative AI, which it maps to the individual functions of the framework.
P
The automated processing of personal data to evaluate certain aspects of a person.
R
The concurrent application of both regulations, where the AI Act complements rather than replaces the rules on personal data protection; in the case of biometrics and profiling the regimes overlap.
