In the first days of November, Brno once again became a hub of artificial intelligence — as part of the nationwide AI Days festival, which this year ran from 3 to 16 November 2025. This year it was again held under the auspices of President Petr Pavel. The event is organized by the Czech National AI Platform (CNAIP) in cooperation with regional partners, including the Brno.AI platform.
This year's Brno AI Days had one clear message: AI is no longer sci-fi — AI is a relevant area of law. And that is precisely why, on 5 November, three law firms came together at KUMST as part of the Brno AI Days for a debate on the tricky issues in artificial intelligence law.
What Was It About?
It was a three-hour, practical taste of the legal dilemmas that the firms tackle with their clients in real life. After short presentations by the individual representatives of each firm, a moderated discussion took over. Throughout the event, the audience sent their questions to the panelists via an app. There wasn't even enough time to get to all of them.

Karel Pelikán (Doležal & Partners)
Topic: AI literacy in practice
He emphasized AI literacy in practice. He spoke about how lawyers, the creators and users of AI, and entrepreneurs in particular, must understand what AI can do, what its limits are and what risks come with deploying it in a real-world environment.
Hana Krajčíková (Preegal)
Topic: Copyright and AI
She presented on copyright and AI, focusing in particular on copyright issues arising from data harvesting on the internet (text and data mining).
Jiří Hradský (SEDLAKOVA LEGAL)
Topic: Cybersecurity and AI
His talk dealt with cybersecurity in connection with AI. He outlined the risks associated with data leaks and misuse when using artificial intelligence systems.
And What Came Next?
After the talks, a moderated discussion got under way, showing that the legal questions surrounding AI are a concern for everyone and that the speakers had plenty to say on the subject. The discussion was moderated and the gentlemen kept on track by our own Hanka. And because we're in Brno, networking followed — during which not only legal provisions but also everyday situations were discussed. It just wouldn't have been the same without good food and coffee… That's simply Brno.
The event wasn't aimed only at the legal community; it was for everyone — the youngest visitor was 6 months old, and the oldest? We didn't dare ask. :-)
